Some typical questions

How much disruption will there be and how long will it take?

If the work is carried out by a competent company, and operatives who are well trained, there should be very little disruption. We often hear horror stories about people having to move out of their homes, and bring in industrial cleaners at the end of the job. This is totally unacceptable, and with the right techniques is not necessary. 4-7 Weeks is a realistic time span, to the decoration stage.

There may not be enough room in my loft

It is seldom the case that there is not enough room. With the correct design and using our specialist techniques to create head-room, you will be astonished at how much space can be achieved. Quite often the conversion starts out as a child’s bedroom, but as soon as mum & dad see the size of it they claim it for themselves. Accommodating an en-suite shower room can be surprisingly easy even in the smallest of properties.

How can I be sure about standards and will it add value to my home?

Before committing to any company insist on seeing at least two or three of their most recent projects, and if possible raise any concerns you may have with the home-owner. Any contractor worth his salt should be eager to give you several referrals to recent projects. In our experience the increase in value can far outstrip the costs of a loft conversion, particularly if the bedroom created has an en-suite.
